Culture is a term that has a tendency to unite as well as divide people. People of the similar tastes, preferences motives, purposes, habits conglomerate to build a culture. These people with the same culture are connected with a thin thread of solidarity and a sense of community, inturned within their sub-conscious self.

When culture marries language, it gives birth to literature. If culture is the wheel and language is the person using the wheel, then the person's efficiency in using the wheel is literature. 'Cultural shock' happens, when one's ideologies, tastes, or preferences clash with the other's set of beliefs and ideolo-gies literature can help bind the culture not only of a person but also of the people. Literature reflects universal values and is not only reminiscent of a single culture.

In India, there are many groups of people who are marginalised in the basis of progress, power colour and their lifestyle. We can give many examples of minority communities like muslims, christians, Jains and Buddhists. Women are the backbone of a home. From giving birth to a child, to maintain-ing and managing the home, they work tirelessly. But, they are marginalised in many societies. As they are women, they are exempted or pointed out as weaker than men. They are mostly kept inside home to do home chores instead of giving work outside But now, the society is changing. Women are getting opportunity to work outside but, their number is less, still many women are deprived of their rights in our country.
